“I have a new(ish) 17" MacBook Pro & thought I'd go bonkers finding a travel case for it. This briefcase works wonderfully well & I really like the padded laptop sleeve. Very sturdy too. The only drawback is that it can be a bit tippy when open and the laptop is removed.

“It is a bit heavy, but is made for a large 17” laptop. It's well constructed and will last a lifetime. The fabric on the outside is very durable and looks good. It has great padding around the computer compartment, which is some kind of foam.

“After spending weeks deciding which case to buy, I think I found the best briefcase in the market! As you probably know, it's very difficult to find a good-looking 17" executive case, but this is the perfect solution!

First of all, I have to accept it is a little heavy. However, I think you should be aware that buying a 17" laptop implies carrying some extra weight with you. If you want a quality case (like this), then you have to accept some extra pounds. The material is excellent and it will certainly last a lifetime.

Regarding the size, I have an HP dv9500 and it fit perfect in the notebook pocket. This pocket is padded with foam that avoids your laptop to get damaged in case of falling. I don't know if they improve that foam, but I think it will also last a lifetime.

There are a countless number of pockets, compartments and divisions, so you can carry all your accessories, papers, etc. The grip is made of a gel that makes carrying the case a real pleasure.

“THE GOOD
I bought this to carefully carry my fully loaded Alienware M17X and gear from place to place. I almost bought the Alienware bag, but glad I didn't, as this bag is much better designed and made than my friends Alienware bag. Great design and materials. I like the magnetic latch a lot, haven't over stuffed this so I haven't seen it not seal yet; the magnets seem to be strong enough to hold but no too hard to open. The interior compartment gives you the confidence to put the most expensive gear inside and the removable interior makes going through the airport a breeze, yet protecting your laptop. I REALLY like the shoulder strap and how it has suspension. I carry anywhere from 20 to 30 pounds at a time and this really saves me. Then there is that wonderful gel handle---ooh la-la. That takes the pinch out of heavy loads when carrying for long hauls by hand vs shoulder. The materials and design are very impressive.

THE BAD
I couldn't figure out how to activate the life time warranty on the website, not a big deal, but it could have been a little easier to do (hopefully my email will generate a response and answer).

THE UGLY
I hate the main zipper!!! It's a shame that they took the time to design this really good, used good materials, but they didn't test after manufacturing. I picked the best bag of 5 from Micro Center and this one still has main zippers that stick around the corners. Maybe it's just a pet peeve of mine on cases with zippers, but the main zipper you have to open/close everytime you get to your laptop should be flawless in my opinion on cases. IMHO”

“I have a Sony 18.4' laptop and this case is a perfect fit. I am extremely impressed with its quality of material and stability. I purchased the laptop and case in October 2008. I carry the laptop and case with me everyday and this case has not shown any wear whatsoever. I can actually pack two laptops in the case; the Sony 18.4" laptop and an HP 15.4" laptop. There is still room for addtional accessories and important papers. I wish Mobile Edge would make a case at least 1.5" wider. I could then pack everything I need rather than carry another extra case with me. ”

“I've carried this thing across the country and back. It's very light, comfortable...holds my laptop, backup drive, and paperwork. Honestly, it's the bestbag I've ever owned (by far).

The magnetic latch on the over-flap could be designed better. It tends to not seal if there's a lot of stuff in the front pocket or the inner pouches, but other than that, I can't complain about anything. I have a Vaio AW220J (big) and I get no laptop shoulder or anything (walking through the airport, or whatever).

I hope they continue to improve upon this design. It's been well worth the money.”
