ScanFast Onyx Checkpoint Friendly Backpack

I was upset because I ordered it for a business trip, and was going to have to find something else with one day to spare. “Awesome bag, lightweight, fits my frame well, I'm 5'6" most laptops backpacks don't fit me well this does. I do think you'd sell more if you eliminated the Leather and just went with Denier Nylon Ripstop, multiple colors like some of the Timbuk2 bags. My cousin wants one too, he's 5'8 and has trouble finding laptop bags that fits him well. He'd give up his Booq bag as soon as the patent leather was eliminated. Maybe I'll buy him one for his birthday and see if he uses it anyway. ;-)”

“OK. I have had this Mobile edge Backpack for over a year and it is still looking great. I travel 45-50 weeks per year. I have a laptop and all accessories to travel with plus files etc. I had always used a roller bag but began to develop a terrible tendonitis in my elbow from dragging the bag behind me, lifting it into plane overhead compartment and picking up and carrying up and down stairs. I never was much of a backpack fan since they tend to look sporty, slouchy etc and like I might be going camping (which, by the way, you would never catch me doing!). I was also tired of dragging my computer out and replacing at TSA. I researched tons of alternatives. I saw this and that it was made specifically for woment. The straps are positioned differently i think, the are padded and adjustable. Everything fits easily into this little beauty...15" HP laptop, all cords, portable mouse, my GPS and cord, Kindle and recharger, cell phones + chargers, IPod (and charger), pens, glasses, thumbdrive, magazine. The weight is evenly distributed so my shoulders don't get strained. I use a crossbody little purse and I am handsfree! Breeze through security. I can take the stairs for a little excercise since I'm not dragging a behemoth behind me. Tons of compliments and "where did you get that?" I always tell them Mobile Edge(great products) and make sure you check the price on Amazon.com since they usually beat the competition by a long shot.”

“I was looking for a backpack that can hold a 15.6in laptop at least. I searched for quite a while before I found this. The laptop compartment is roomy, but protected. The second main compartment can hold 4-6 single subject notebooks, but it is difficult to use internal compartments with too many notebooks, folders, binders, etc. It has two outer compartments where I keep the power cable, small external hard-dive, and pouch for mouse, flash drive, small cables, and other odds and ends.

I go back and forth from work to school, and need a bag for organizing and carrying all my school and work related items. I walk a lot on campus too, so a back-pack is most comfortable for me. It does have a water bottle holder that can be hidden away. This is a great bag, comfortable and lots of room, but for my purposes I would like just a little bit more space my various electronics, like hard-drives, cameras, etc. I may need something more content specific, geared towards photographers.

I gave it 4 stars because I would like it a bit bigger, but I realize that it is a sleek bag meant for air travel, and for that it is ideal.

“I am 5′2″ and am always dragging around enormous bags for all my work stuff. Hard to keep up with people at the airport. LOVE this bag; doesn’t look bulky, holds all my stuff without looking overstuffed, and very comfortable on my back. Leaves hands free for other things (like Starbucks). Awesome!!!

“The description should have said that this Mobile Edge model is designed for women. I am petite and found that the straps stayed on my shoulders much better than previous laptop backpacks I have owned. It also seemed lighter to carry even though I had more in it than in the backback I had been using. The ScanFast feature worked great — I just unzipped the compartment and was not asked to remove the laptop at the airport checkpoints.”
