NEW YORK — The market for technology friendly carrying cases and bags continues to explode as sales of notebook PCs and portable devices such as digital cameras, portable audio and video players, GPS units and removable drives all remain in growth mode, according to Consumer Electronics Association forecasts.
Fashion and function options abound in TWICE’s semi-annual roundup of the category. Gathered here and on the next few pages are new designs and models making their debut in the first quarter or shortly thereafter.
Mobile Edge has expanded its selection of briefcases, bags and backpacks specifically targeting male consumers. The company has launched a men’s line of laptop bags called Dig, which was introduced at International CES. The collection features the 1,680-denier ballistic nylon messenger in navy, trimmed with burgundy (SRP $89.99) and the Dig Notebook Backpack made of canvas with leather trim ($99.99). Also new from Mobile Edge is an expansion of the company’s Maddie Powers line of bags for women, featuring vintage pulp images, to include men’s bags.
