Mobile Edge is pleased to give back to the communities it serves via Mobile Edge Cares, a year-round initiative designed to raise money for various charities and causes through purchases made by customers at the Mobile Edge online store.
Mobile Edge strives to provide value to customers and employees as well as be a socially responsible member of society by giving back to the communities it serves. One way Mobile Edge does this is by setting aside a portion of profits each year to contribute to worthy charitable causes, with a particular focus on missing children, cancer, and children’s hospitals. This gives Mobile Edge customers a unique opportunity through their purchases to support causes they consider near and dear.
These charities include the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, CHOC Children’s Hospital, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the Boomer Esiason Foundation fighting Cystic Fibrosis.
Examples of How Mobile Edge Cares
- October is recognized as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the United States and many other countries. Mobile Edge joins numerous other individuals and organizations around the globe to show support for survivors of breast cancer and to help spread knowledge of how to prevent the disease. Each year, Mobile Edge donates proceeds from the sale of its Caring Case Collection—a special assortment of pink-themed laptop cases and protecting bags, many of which sport the symbolic pink breast cancer awareness ribbon—directly to nationally-recognized breast cancer charities and foundations.
- May 25 is National Missing Children’s Day, an annual observation that highlights the problems of child abduction and honors organizations and individuals who work to protect our nation’s children. Each year, Mobile Edge Cares earmarks a percentage of sales of its NCMEC® Caring Case Collection in support of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children®. According to NCMEC, more than 450,000 children are reported missing each year in this country, with an additional 6.6 million reported as abused or exploited.
- During the fall and winter holiday season, Mobile Edge Cares promotes the support of CHOC (“Children’s Hospital of Orange County”). Since its founding in 1964, CHOC has provided high quality medical care to children through a regional pediatric healthcare network that includes a state-of-the-art 279-bed main hospital facility in the City of Orange, and a hospital-within-a-hospital in Mission Viejo. CHOC also offers many primary and specialty care clinics, more than 100 additional programs and services, a pediatric residency program, and four centers of excellence – the CHOC Children’s Heart, Neuroscience, Orthopaedic, and Hyundai Cancer Institutes.
Over the years, Mobile Edge’s charitable efforts have raised and contributed more than $400,000.
